Summer Activities

Once the sun is out both locals and visitors flock the many beaches, water, and trails in the area. The beaches here have some of the most remarkable views and our water is one of the clearest you will ever come by. Jump in the water for some kayaking, paddle boarding, or even white water rafting if you’re up for the adventure. Just make sure you get there early before all the parking spots are taken! Additionally, there are a plethora of hiking and biking trails if you are the more laid-back type. We also have horseback riding or automobile tours for fun in the mud, sand, or dirt. If you are a real thrill seeker, Tahoe has a healthy population of black bears. Walk along the river and you may just spot one crossing the stream or enjoying a meal.

Winter Activities

Snow season is definitely a busy time in the Tahoe area. Skiers and snowboarders flood the slopes for about five to six months of the year. However, there are many other winter activities that don’t involve flying down a hill. You can enjoy ice skating by the resort and warming up with a cup of hot cocoa afterward. You know all those lovely hiking/biking trails, well you can also snowshoe or cross-country ski down them as well and still get a great workout from it. If you’re not up for skiing or snowboarding, you can still ride the tram and enjoy the mesmerizing view. And for you adventurous folks, with the need for speed, we have plenty of snowmobile tours that will take you to epic sights and locations that you simply can’t get to by foot. For the more romantic breed, believe it or not but Tahoe offers sleigh rides where horses will pull you across snow covered fields, creating the ultimate wintertime experience. And after all your outdoor exuberance, what’s better than to cozy up in front of a crackling fireplace in a brewery or coffeeshop.
